Terms of Sales
Please read the following carefully.
By clicking on the "I agree" box of this sales agreement covers your acceptance of the conditions and terms listed below.

Section I
Focus is not guaranteed on any rolls since all film cameras were very different. In other words, we cannot correct for footage that was shot out of focus. We set focus at the beginning of the reel and ride the focus throughout the roll.

Section II
Shrinkage, distortion, emulsion flaking, discoloration, jumping at splices, lost camera loops (picture rolling), and various other defects can be expected with old home movies. These defects vary greatly from job to job depending on the processing techniques normally used at time of development and how the film was stored over time.

Section III
We are not responsible for any scratches that are on the film when it enters our facility.

Section IV
If the film splices come apart in transfer or if the reels run over the allotted time on a master tape, we will either overlap the content or do our best to provide an accurate edit correction so you are assured that all footage has been transferred.

Section V
Super 8 sound film is recorded at 24 fps, then processed to run either at 24 or 18 fps based on the original film speed. Reel Transfers makes no guarantee of precise video to audio synchronization due to the mechanical timing differences between the scanning of the film's image and the method of sound acquisition.

Section VI
There will be no refunds or discounts for any of the above defects or occurrences. It is not always possible to anticipate how old footage will behave during the transfer process. If we decide that the job is not economically or physically feasible we will alert the client before proceeding.

Section VII
If the client is not satisfied with the completed job no refunds will be given. It must be understood that we will make every effort to do a professional job on a non-professional format.

Section VIII
Videotapes are a fragile medium also. We use a professional grade videotape machines to play your tapes, however, there is no guarantee on the life of your videotape given that we have no control over the condition of your playback machine. We recommend that you buy a "backup" copy.

Section IX
Films received not clearly numbered or labeled will be assembled at the discretion of Reel Transfers.
